Upgrade Yealink T3X & T5XW firmwares

Hope all is well J,

Firstly to explain to you the background that nowadays the whole world is facing chipset supply difficulty, almost all manufacturers are working hard to deal with it, including VOIP industry of course.

Good new is that Yealink has already found new compatible chipset to guarrantee stable supply-chain in the future, and thus we will release new Firmware based new hardware:

Ÿ Newly produced hardware product will go with new Firmware, and not allowed to downgrade to lower version since different hardware now.

Ÿ Old hardware can also upgrade to this new Firmware, and will be allowded to downgrade to earlier version, means you can test this new Firmware with the phone you have now.

Upgrade plan:

Ÿ New standard Firmware of T5XW will be ready on 6th/June, will send it to in this mail track.

Expectation:

The sooner new Firmware are tested and confirmed, the better we can minimize stock influence. So we hope that you can arrange testing resource in advance. Our Expectation is:

Ÿ Finished testing of new T3X Firmware within 2 weeks after the new Firmware is provided(around 8th/June).

Ÿ Finished testing of new T5XW Firmware within 2 weeks after the new Firmware is provided(around 20st/June).

More Info:

The only change between new firmware and old firmware is a patch for new chipset , so we suggest you can run new firmware testing with current T3X/T5XW you have, you don’t need to worry about the compatibility & stability.

We understand that these will affect your original schedules, but from Yealink side we’ve made our best to minimize the influence on the market. Hope you could understand.

Notes about T5W new F/W:

Ÿ   Supports old hardware and new hardware, only need to test new F/W with old hardware

Ÿ   Not allow downgrading for either old hardware or new hardware

(Reason: To reduce supply chain issue, Yealink has developed multiple backup solutions to ensure a long-term, sustainable regular supply. Base on the premise of guaranteeing supplier qualification, Yealink will purchase identical quality components from at least two different suppliers in advance. Thus, to be compatible with components from different vendors and ensure product quality and stability, Yealink has implemented downgrading limitation in this new F/W.)
